Bridge–K / Pre–Kindergarten

The JCC of the East Bay's Early Childhood Education Program is launching a Reggio Emilia-inspired program for young five year olds who could benefit from a year of enrichment before Kindergarten. Come for a tour of the beautiful space we have created and to learn more about the program, which will begin in September 2010.

Children in this small, intimate class will be encouraged to express themselves through many media as they negotiate the curriculum with their talented teachers, exploring ideas they are excited about and/or challenged by. The innovative curriculum will provide many opportunities to develop the skills needed to be successful in Kindergarten

The children's curiosity about the natural world, art, reading, writing, and math will be investigated through long-term projects that organically arise from their interests. Most importantly, they will be supported in developing successful social interactions. In an environment rich in Jewish celebration and culture, our Bridge–K children will welcome Shabbat and other holidays with the whole school. The JCC welcomes families of all ethnic and religious backgrounds.
