Our Mission

The mission of the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay is to enrich the lives of all who pass through our doors through programs, activities, and events enriched by our Jewish values and traditions.

We strive to:

Promote an appreciation for Jewish culture and heritage.
Promote the enhancement of the quality of life for the many diverse groups of the Jewish population and the community at large.
Fulfill the unmet needs of members of the Jewish community and the broader community arising from the changing family structure and lifestyle.
Join with other segments of the general community to promote understanding and to identify and act on issues of common concern.
Provide warmth and camaraderie to all members and visitors.

Purpose

The JCCEB promotes intellectual, experiential and spiritual exploration of Jewish culture and tradition; builds joyful, progressive and inclusive community; and inspires the active pursuit of Tikkun Olam (repair of the world).
